ARE YOU INSURED AND CERTIFIED?

Yes, we carry General Liability Insurance to cover each event we serve. Our Bartenders are TiPS/360 Learn2Serve, Safeserv & Rserving-Certified. This information can be provided to clients upon request.

WHAT DOES YOUR STAFF WEAR WHILE WORKING EVENTS?

Our bartenders hold a standard of professionalism in their uniform that suits any situation. All of our staff at Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC wear black shirts, black pants and black shoes while working at events.

WHAT DOES THE BARTENDER DO VS THE BARBACK

The bartender will focus on serving your guests - whether that is cocktails, beer, wine, or other drinks. The barback usually helps out behind the bar where needed, such as restocking drinks, opening bottles, or even serving customers simple things like beer, wine, or soft drinks if needed.

DO YOU SUPPLY THE ALCOHOL?

No, due to states liquor laws we cannot carry a liquor license but that's okay! Part of our services includes a shopping list, so while we don’t provide the alcohol, we give you a customized list to stock the bar! The best part… You can purchase it at any store you want, saving you a ton of dough!

IS OUTSIDE ALCOHOL PERMITTED?

No, we do not allow any consumption of outside alcohol once our bartenders are on the premise. If guests are found with any outside alcohol, they will be asked to discard it.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ENSURING GUEST(S) DO NOT HAVE TOO MUCH TO DRINK?

The Host! Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC is trained in alcohol awareness to assist in any situation. I am TAM-certified (Techniques of Alcohol Management). Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC reserves the right to refuse service to guest(s) who, in our professional judgment, appear to have had too much to drink or seem impaired.

DO I REALLY NEED A BARTENDER? CAN MY FRIEND JUST BARTEND?

So you have a friend who has some bartending experience and you're thinking about him or her manning the bar at your event? Short answer - don't. Depending on your guest list, you may have a large portion of your guests who spend a good bit of time at the bar. The interaction that your guests have with the bartender can set the tone for your event. We don't just pass out drinks, We interact with your guests so that everyone is having a good time. Professional bartenders will make your life much easier. Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC is a professional, full-time mobile bar service. We carry the legal liquor liability insurance required by most local venues for bar staff. We are certified, which means that we have passed the states requirements for legal and responsible alcohol service. Part of a professional bartender's job is making sure that your crowd doesn't get too drunk. We have years of experience in serving crowds large and small over long events, and doing so in a way that still give a great event experience while still complying with the law. In other words, with Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC, you can leave the work to us and let your friends and family enjoy the event.

WHY HIRE YOUR BARTENDING SERVICES OPPOSED TO JUST GOING THROUGH OUR CATERER/DIRECTOR?

While we understand adding bartending to your catering contract can be convenient, there are several benefits to booking Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC. We are certified through ABC to serve alcohol at private events and holds specific liquor liability insurance, both things required by local venues. Before your event, we will work with you to create custom cocktails based on your tastes, hand designed menus, colors, etc. We’ll also get you a custom shopping list to make sure everything you need will be on hand. Also, bartending is our only job! The bar tends to be the most popular spot at the wedding and with Mon Cherrie MBS, LLC, you’ll have bartenders that are experienced and focused solely on the bar and your guests! In addition to that, our bartenders are trained, professional, and knowledgeable, with years of experience. We also provide all our own tools, tubs, garnishes, bar mats, mixers, shakers, etc. We will also take care of all the set-up and making sure your bar looks gorgeous, and we take care of all the clean-up, including organizing any leftover alcohol, trash, etc.

When considering going through your caterer for bartending, ask these questions first:

1. Is their staff certified through ABC to serve drinks?*

2. Do they have liquor liability insurance?*

3. Are their bartenders knowledgeable and trained specifically to tend bar?

4. Do they fully set-up and clean-up the bar areas and provide their own bar tools, accessories?

*Both are required by local venues

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR SERVICE?

We provide complimentary beverage napkins, stirrers, disposable plastic ware, ice bowls, scoops and trash bags. We bring our own bar equipment for opening wine/champagne/beer bottles. We also provide different additional items which are described in each of our packages.

DO YOU SERVICE EVENTS WITHOUT ALCOHOL?

Absolutely, we are happy to provide our mobile bar for any type of event and provide a non-alcoholic beverage menu ranging from sodas, juices, waters. So if your event alcohol free, let us create signature MOCKTAILS for your special occasion! These are a great option for dry brunch events, baby showers and school functions!

CAN I REQUEST A SPECIALTY DRINK FOR MY EVENT?

Yes, you can! We are open to any and all requests for your event. We are happy to provide just the right drink for you. Let us know what you would like and we’ll make sure we have those ingredients ready for service.

DO I NEED A LIQUOR LICENSE FOR MY WEDDING OR EVENT IF I’M HAVING AN OPEN BAR?

Great question! The answer is no. You don’t need a liquor license for your wedding or private event.

ABC Regulation # 23399.1:

“When license or permit not required for serving and otherwise disposing of alcoholic beverages. No license or permit shall be required for the serving and otherwise disposing of alcoholic beverages where all of the following conditions prevail:

1. That there is no sale of an alcoholic beverage.

2. That the premises are not open to the general public during the time alcoholic beverages are served, consumed or otherwise disposed of.

3. That the premises are not maintained for the purpose of keeping, serving, consuming or otherwise disposing of alcoholic beverages.”

So, as long as you aren’t selling drinks or serving the public and are at a private event venue, you’re all set!

ARE YOU FLEXIABLE WITH OPEN BAR SERVICES?

Yes. We work within the budget that you provide and remain flexible if you decide to make changes.

CAN YOU HOST A CASH BAR?

Unfortunately no, as we do not have a liquor license, we cannot collect money in exchange for alcoholic beverages. Reach out if you are a nonprofit as we're happy to walk you through your options!

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WILL YOU TRAVEL

We are located in South Carolina but we love to travel! Travel within 2 hours (no more than 3 hours) included in our packages.

HOW EARLY DO YOU ARRIVE TO SET-UP?

We can arrive as early as the venue opens to make sure everything is in order for set up before bar or event opening time.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SETUP BAR SERVICE?

We require flat ground for setup and service. We'll also need clear access leave the setup location. We begin setup before the scheduled start time. We can serve on private property, and we can provide a portable bar/tables if necessary.

WHAT IF MY VENUE DOESN'T HAVE A DESIGNATED BAR SPACE?

No bar, no problem! Our mobile bartending service has many options for a portable bar set-up, which is included in the packages. If you have the space, we can build a bar.

DO I NEED BAGGED ICE IF MY VENUE HAS AN ICE MACHINE

It depends on the size of the ice machine. For the initial surge of ice needed, we'd recommend a few bags of ice, at least to fill ice the ice buckets for keeping drinks cold and serving the guests. We don't travel with ice so that item will needed to be provided if no ice machine is available.

WHAT ABOUT GRATUITY?

Our straightforward pricing means the quote we give you is all that you owe.

Gratuity is not included in our pricing but can be handled several different ways. Standard tip jars are used at each event. Gratuity is not expected by any means but can be given to the bartender after the event with the expectation of excellent service given.

DO YOU OFFER CORPORATE COMPANY BARTENDING SERVICES?

Yes! We pair professional bartending services with other vendors and also offer it as an independent service. This includes a portable bar setup if needed. By offering simple and reliable options, we take the stress out of any event.

WHAT SIZE NETWORKING EVENTS DO YOU OFFER BARTENDING SERVICES FOR?

We serve small and large size events that can range from 25 to 300 people. For larger events we can discuss further details. We are very flexible with our clients needs.

WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR GUEST COUNTS CHANGES?

If your guest count has changed after booking your event, we do our best to make accommodations and request that at least two weeks prior to your event that your guest count is confirmed.

DO YOU HAVE A RAIN DATE POLICY?

We cannot accommodate rain dates for your event due to our advance bookings. The host is responsible for event weatherproofing. We are happy to work with your tent vendor to find the appropriate size. If you decide to postpone the event we will honor another date, if the date is available.

WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT AND REFUND POLICY?

We require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to book your event. The final payment isn't due until 30 days before your event date and once that payment is made it cannot be refunded. While we do not refund—If you have to cancel, we will honor your final payment if another date is requested and available.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?

The earlier the better! Just remember March-May and September-December is the busy wedding/holiday seasons so those weekends book up first! Always reach out just incase we have an open weekend or cancellation!

HOW MUCH ARE YOUR BARTENDING SERVICES?

We have a package for every type event, So the prices vary to accommodate the type of party package you choose for your event. Contact us to get a quote for your event.
